A Dhansu film was released in India 10 years ago, which opened many ways to the success of Pan India films and to carry forward. The film not only changed the attitude of box office figures, but also won 55 awards of its best story. The audience liked its story and star cast so much that the film became a Cult film and earned more than 600 crores worldwide. We are talking about no one else, but SS Rajamouli’s film ‘Bahubali: The Beginning’ i.e. ‘Bahubali’, in which Prabhas was seen together with Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Satyaraj and Nasar.
The film shook the box office 10 years ago
‘Bahubali’, who made both SS Rajamouli and Prabhas a superstar, was made in a budget of Rs 180 crore, which was the most expensive Indian film of that time. ‘Bahubali’ was shot in Telugu and Tamil. But, from every scene of the film to the story made a splash all over India. According to the IMDB report, Prabhas’s film was made for Rs 180 crore, out of which 85 crores were spent only on VFX, so that the film could be given the larger-the-life feel.
Hrithik Roshan’s neither made Prabhas star
It took three years to make ‘Bahubali’ and earned Rs 650 crore worldwide, which became the highest grossing Telugu film at the time of release and the second highest grossing Indian film worldwide. ‘Bahubali’ is currently the sixth highest -grossing Telugu film. According to IMDB, ‘Bahubali: The Beginning’ won 55 awards and has received 8 ratings on IMDB. ‘Bahubali’ received two National Awards for Best Feature Film and Best Special Impact. The amazing thing is that Hrithik Roshan has played many memorable historical characters on screen. The most prominent among them is Jodha Akbar and Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. He was well liked in these characters. But, he did not want to do such a historic role further, so actor Hrithik rejected the offer of ‘Bahubali: The Beginning’.
