6 people died due to current in Shobha Yatra
Hyderabad: An accident has occurred in the Shobha Yatra taken out during the Shri Krishnashtami festival in Gokule Nagar of Ramantpur area of Hyderabad. The number of people who lost their lives in this accident has increased. During this time 6 people have died due to electrocution of electricity. Power Department CMD Musharraf Farooqui has visited the spot to investigate the situation.
How did the accident happen?
CMD Musharraf Farooqui confirmed that a conductor wire of the internet cable came in contact with the 11 kW power line, causing the current to flow in the Internet cable. This cable later touched a chariot involved in the procession, causing this tragic incident.
The accident occurred when the vehicle pulling the decorated chariot deteriorated. Some youths tried to push him by hand, during this time the chariot allegedly came in contact with electric wires passing above. Nine people suffered an electric shock and despite the local people to save them and to the hospital, doctors at the hospital declared five dead.
Later, one of the four injured died during treatment, causing the death toll in the incident to six.
Dead identified
The deceased have been identified as Krishna alias Diamond Yadav (21), Srikanth Reddy (35), Suresh Yadav (34), Rudra Vikas (39) and Rajendra Reddy (45).
There is a wave of mourning among the local people due to this incident on the occasion of Krishnashtami festival. Even in a moment, weeds were mourned instead of celebration and 6 lives were over. The families who lost their relatives are in a bad state and are unable to believe how this accident happened suddenly.
