Rahul Dravid is my uncle. My uncle has been working in the field of cricket for the last 30-35 years. Vinayak Dravid (my father) is a Ranji Trophy player himself. He and I have a relationship because of cricket. I became very emotional. I feel very bad for them today. His tenure as head coach is also coming to an end. This was his last World Cup. He is very hardworking and has worked very hard. I think he is the best coach. Right now I have not thought about my future- Rahul Dravid

In the press conference held after the final match, Dravid had said that his entire focus was to help the Indian team reach its target and he had not yet thought about his future as a coach. He had said,

At this point, my entire focus was on this campaign and there was nothing else on my mind and I didn’t give any thought to what would happen in the future. To be honest, I haven’t thought about it. I think all our energy was focused on this tournament and this match.
