‘I wanted to commit suicide’, Yuzvendra Chahal broke silence on divorce from Dhanashree

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has spoken openly about his mental health after divorce with choreographer Dhanashree Verma. He told many unheard stories about his personal and professional life. It also revealed that Dhanashree and they took the divorce decision several months ago. But, he stopped thinking that everything would be fine, yet the matter did not work and he had to separate. Yuzvendra was called a fraud after divorce from Dhanashree. Even on this, the cricketer broke his silence and told that he used to get ideas of suicide at that time.

On Raj Shamani Podcast, Chahal said that after divorce he was called wrong and the tag of ‘fraudulent’ was given. When Chahal was asked whether he had shown his marriage on social media in the hope that perhaps everything would be alright in the future, he said, ‘Yes … it was so’. He said that he felt from inside that the decision to separate could change and both of them would start living together with joy again. Yuzvendra Chahal said, ‘After divorce I was called a fraud, while I never cheated in life. I am a loyal person. You can’t find a loyal like me … I care about my people. ‘ He further said, ‘I feel the worst then people reach the conclusion without knowing the whole story. I have a lot of trouble with all these things… No one knows what has happened and still blame me. ‘

Why Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal got divorced

The cricketer stated the reason for his marriage to break and said that marriage is a ‘compromise’. Explaining the reason for his divorce, he said that the distance increased due to lack of good time together. He further said that although compromise is necessary from both sides, but sometimes everything is ruined due to estrangement. Chahal further told that both he and Dhanashree were busy in their respective career. Because of this, tension between the two had increased further in the last few years, which was gradually affecting their relationship.
