ICICI PRDENIL LIFE Insurance Gets GST Notice: ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has said that the GST Commissioner has ordered the tax demand of about Rs 3.67 crore to be upheld. An order in this regard was passed by Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) officials in Mumbai on 2 July 2024. The order refused to give a share of the service tax credit, which the company transferred to the system when GST started in FY 2017-2018. The company will file an appeal before the competent authority: ICICI Prudential In the information given to the stock market, the company has received an order to maintain tax demand from the Commissioner of CGST and Central Excise (Appeal), Mumbai on 17 April. This order includes GST liability of more than Rs 1.83 crore and a fine of the same amount. ICICI Prudential Life said that the company will file an appeal before the competent authority against the said order. (Language)
