Failure to do so can neutralize the specific identification number of 12 digits of the child’s Aadhaar card. This information has been given in an official statement. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has started sending text messages to the mobile number recorded in the base of children to complete the process of ‘mandatory updating biometric’ (MBU).
MBU is required to be fulfilled on time
According to the statement, “Timely completion of MBU is an essential condition to maintain the accuracy and reliability of children’s biometric data.” If the MBU is not met even after the age of 7, the Aadhaar number may be inactive to the current rules. ”An official of the UIDAI said that if the children’s Aadhaar cards are not updated to the fingers and eyesight of the eye, then the children may have to face problems in taking advantage of various schemes related to Aadhaar.
Biometrics are not taken for children under 5 years old
Indeed, children under 5 years of age are not taken for their fingers and biometrics of eye pupils for Aadhaar enrollment. Nomination for Aadhaar is done by the picture, name, date of birth, gender, address and proof of a child under 5 years of age. Children get many facilities due to Aadhaar card
If the child makes compulsory biometric updates between 5 and 7 years of age, then it is free. But after the age of 7, there is a fee of Rs 100 to update biometrics. The UIDAI said that the Aadhaar card made with updated biometric makes the child’s life easier and ensures uninterrupted use of Aadhaar in availing services like admission in school, registration for entrance exam, etc.
