Vrat yoga for energy: The sacred month of Sawan is not only full of spiritual energy, but it is also a great time to prioritize self -purification and physical balance. During this time, many people fast for the whole month, do fruits and mentally get themselves absorbed in Shiva devotion. But during the fast, it has often been seen that people start experiencing physical weakness, fatigue or lack of energy. In such a situation, if you want to keep your body fit, active and fit, then it can prove to be extremely beneficial to include some special yogasanas in your routine.

Why is yoga importance in fasting?

1. Mountain Pose

By earning Tadasana in the morning, the body stretches and the spinal cord is straight. This asana helps to balance the body as well as boost energy. This asana is very beneficial during the fast because it causes flexibility in the body and does not feel tired.

How to do: Stand straight, raise both hands upwards and stand on the claws. Taking a deep breath, pull the body upwards. Repeat this process from 30 seconds to 1 minute.

2. Thunderbolt Pose

Falahar or light food is eaten during the fast, in such a situation it is very important to keep the digestive system healthy. Vajrasana is the only posture that does not only keep the stomach right but also relieves gas, indigestion and acidity.

How to do: Fold the knees and sit on the ground and keep the body weight on the ankles. Keep the back straight and keep the hands on the knees. Sit in this posture for 5 to 10 minutes.

3. Anulom-Antonym Pranayama

It is very important to maintain mental concentration and peace during the fast of Sawan. Anulom-enlightenment is a pranayama that calms the brain, increases the functionality of the lungs and improves the flow of oxygen.

How to do: Sit comfortably. Close the right nostril with the thumb and breathe from the left, then close the left and exhale from the right. Refine this process by reversing. Practice it 5–10 minutes daily.

Caution and suggestions

It is important to understand the boundaries of the body while doing yoga in the spring. Avoid excessive tired yoga exercises during the fast and choose only simple rugs that give stretch and balance to the body.
