Important dates of Sawan Monday 2025: The month of Sawan in the year 2025 starts on 11 July 2025, Friday and will conclude on 9 August 2025, Saturday.
Monday of Sawan month:
• First Sawan Monday: 14 July 2025, Monday
• Second Sawan Monday: 21 July 2025, Monday
• Third Sawan Monday: 28 July 2025, Monday
• Fourth Sawan Monday: 04 August 2025, Monday

1. Bathing and resolution in the morning: Wake up early in the morning and take a bath and wear clean clothes.
– Clean the place of worship with Ganga water.
– meditating on Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati ‘Mam Kshemastharyasiddhayartham Sakal-Manorath-Siddhaye Shravan-Amwar-Vratam Karishye’ Pledge to fast while chanting the mantra.
2. Jalabhishek and Pujan on Shivling:
– First of all, offer water to the Shivling in the temple of the house or go to the Shiva temple. If Ganga water is mixed then it is even more auspicious.
After that, mix milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar and anoint it with Panchamrit.
– Then anoint again with pure water.
– Always offer bell -paper upside down on the Shivling, that is, the smooth part is towards the Shivling, as well as offer Dhatura, cannabis, shami letters, white flowers or mud flowers, sandalwood, akshat, bhasma etc.
– Offer sixteen makeup content, red chunari and flowers to Mata Parvati.
– Light sunshine and lamp.
3. Chanting Mantra and Story:
– Chant the mantras of Lord Shiva, such as ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ or ‘Mahamrityunjaya Mantra’.
– Read Shiva Chalisa.
– Must listen or read the story of Sawan Monday fast.
4. Aarti:
– At the end of worship, perform the Aarti of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati.
5. Prasad:
– Offer fruits, sweets (such as kheer, pudding) etc. to God.
– After offering bhog, distribute the offerings.
6. Falahar and Paran:
– Keep fast throughout the day. If you cannot remain uninterrupted, then take milk, fruits, sago, kuttu etc. in the fruit.
– Worship again after sunset in the evening, if you have not taken a resolution, then worship only once a day.
– On the next day i.e. Tuesday, after bathing, observe the fast, take satvic food.
Fasting rules and precautions:
• Do not consume onion, garlic, meat-liquor and tamasic food during Sawan Monday fast.
• Do not consume rice.
• Avoid sleeping during the day.
• Do not insult anyone, do not be angry.
