area: The Katra administration has issued important instructions keeping in mind the safety of pilgrims visiting the Vaishno Devi temple. Here the administration has ordered to evacuate business establishments including hotels located in sensitive areas. Officials said that the pilgrimage of Mata Vaishno Devi temple situated on the Trikuta hills remained postponed for the sixth consecutive day due to bad weather on Sunday. The journey to this holy pilgrimage site was postponed on 26 August after landslides and 34 passengers dead.
Roads sunk in many places
In one order, Katra SDM Piyush Dhotra has ordered all commercial establishments from Balini Bridge to Darshani Deodhi and Balini Bridge to Asia Chowk to protect pilgrims, including hotels and Dharamshalas. The order said, “Due to heavy rains and bad weather, there has been a large -scale landslide in Katra subdivision in recent times, especially near Balini Bridge and near Shaan Temple in Kadal, in addition to this, roads have collapsed at some places, causing many places to be sensitive to landslides and damage in future.”
All commercial establishments unsafe
The order issued said, “This can threaten human life and keep in mind the number of pilgrims coming to Katra for the journey of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, it is mandatory to assess the safety of the structures of business installations located in Katra for the overall protection of pilgrims.” SDM said that in view of recent events, SDM said that from Asia Chowk to Balini Bridge and Balini Bridge to Balini Bridge and Balini Bridge to Balini Bridge to Balini Bridge The establishments have become unsafe and in view of the current condition, their continuous operation is threatening public safety.
Action will be taken on not following the order
SDM Piyush Dhotra said, “Using the powers provided under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Civil Protection Code, I order to vacate all the business establishments on the route from Asia Chowk to Balini Bridge and Balini Bridge to Darshani Deodhi with immediate effect, until these establishments would not get security certificate from Katra (Road and Building). Strict punitive action will be taken under Section 223 of the Indian Code of Justice of India. (Input-PTI)
