Lahore: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has given a statement about the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Khan has described the terrorist attack as ‘extremely disturbing and tragic’. Meanwhile, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan has also said that India needs to work responsibly. Imran Khan is currently jailed on corruption charges.

What did Imran Khan say

Khan said in a post on the social media forum X, “It is very disturbing and sad to kill people in the Pahalgam incident. I express my deep condolences to the victims and their families.” He said, “When the Pulwama incident took place, we had offered India to give all possible support, but India failed to present any concrete evidence. As I predicted in 2019, the same is happening again after the Pahalgam incident. Instead of introspection and investigation, the Modi government is again blaming Pakistan.”

‘India should work responsibly’

Imran Khan said that being a country of 1.5 billion people, India needs to work responsibly instead of playing. Khan said, “Peace is our priority, but it should not be considered cowardice. Pakistan has the full ability to give a befitting reply to any Indian courage, as my government supported by the whole country in 2019. I have always emphasized the importance of self -determination of Kashmiris, as is guaranteed by United Nations proposals.”
