On Friday, a scene came in front of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who was inspecting the disaster affected areas in Dharali (Uttarkashi), which made every person present there emotional. Dhangauri Baraulia, a resident of Ishanpur, Ahmedabad, came to Darshan with her family. On August 5, the horrific disaster in Dharali changed the direction of his life. The sudden debris and strong currents completely stopped and they were trapped with their family. There was an atmosphere of destruction, fear and uncertainty all around. Hundreds of kilometers from home, no one knew what would happen next. Meanwhile, relief and rescue operations started rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami. The rescue teams made a constant effort even under difficult circumstances to evacuate Dhangauri and their family safely. A smile of relief came on the faces trembling with fear.

A piece of saree tied on CM’s wrist

On Friday, when Chief Minister Dhami was constantly on the ground zero and inspecting the disaster affected areas, Dhangauri could not stop her gratitude. He had tears in his eyes, but there was no fear in those tears. They moved forward, torn the edge of their sari and tied a piece of it on the Chief Minister’s wrist as Rakhi.

What did the woman say?

While tying the rakhi, he said emotionally-“For me, Chief Minister Dhami is like Lord Krishna, who has protected not only mine, but also all the mothers and sisters here like a brother. They have been taking care of our safety and needs by staying among us for three days.” It was not only a piece of cloth, but it had unwavering affection for a sister’s faith, affinity and his protector brother. Chief Minister Dhami also held his hand and assured that as a brother, he would stand with the disaster affected sisters in every situation and all possible help will be given by the state government.

Eye moist view

In the difficult circumstances of Dharli, this poignant moment of this relationship of sister-brother made the eyes of every person present there moist. Born amidst the debris of the disaster, the scene of affinity became the most beautiful example of humanity, sensitivity and brotherhood.
