In Dumri block of Giridih district of Jharkhand state, people never came out of their homes to vote due to fear of Naxalites. But this time people voted enthusiastically in the assembly elections. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among the people for voting. This time there was a lot of enthusiasm among the voters regarding voting in the militancy affected areas of Dumri block of Giridih district. Earlier, voters in these areas did not come out of their homes due to the fear of Naxalites. But in this election, the mood of the area changed. The militancy affected villages including Jaridih, Vanpura, Manjhladih, Akbakkitand, Chalamo, Barmasia, Bhavanand and Jeetkundi and others. A large number of villagers came to vote at the polling stations. And used their franchise. Sometimes they used to raise slogans for vote boycott in these areas.

This Wednesday morning, a cool breeze was blowing slowly. Despite this, the local people seemed very excited about the great festival of democracy. A dozen SSB personnel were deployed at the polling station. There was a long queue of voters at polling booth number 25 in the upgraded middle school Vanpura. People were waiting for their turn. Voters told the journalists that they had voted for the development of the area. Many people said after voting that it is necessary to vote before having refreshments. That’s why he voted first and now he will go home and have breakfast.

Enthusiasm was seen regarding voting in Akbakkitand also

A crowd of villagers from remote areas of Akbakkitand, Kholochua, Bishunpur and Karipahari gathered to vote at booth number 25 and 26 in Akbakkitand, the upgraded middle school (Vanpura) of insurgency-affected Jaridih Panchayat. Initially the pace of voting started slow but after two hours the villagers started gathering and the percentage of voting kept increasing. Personnel from several companies including CRPF, SSB, CISF and IRB were deployed for security.
