In the Kerala Cricket League 2025, Sanju Samson once again showed his power hitting at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday (August 26). Playing for Kochi Blue Tigers, he scored 89 off 46 balls against Thrissur Titans, including 4 fours and 9 skyscraper sixes.

The most exciting moment of the match came in the fifth over, when Samson hit a long six over the deep extra cover by Thrissur Titans captain Sizoman Joseph. The umpire called it no-ball and got the next ball free-hit. The crowd was already enthusiastically and Samson roasted the opportunity and hit another six on the midwicket. In this way a total of 13 runs were scored with a ball and the stadium resonated with applause.

This is not the first time Samson has created a sensation with his batting. Earlier on August 24, he scored 121 runs off 51 balls against Aries Kollam sailor. He has also become the highest run -scorer in the current season of the league with 223 runs thanks to consecutive innings.

This form of Samson is auspicious for Team India before the Asia Cup starting in UAE from 9 September. At present, the team management has indicated on the opening slot by making Shubman Gill a vice -captain, but Samson’s Atishi innings are strengthening his claim.
