In Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, there was a big disgrace on Thursday morning. An entire bus was absorbed in the Alaknanda River in Gholatir in the district. There has been chaos at the scene after the accident. One person has died and 7 people are injured in the accident. The injured also include two children of 9 years. Both the injured children have been admitted to the hospital. SDRF teams are present on the spot and the rescue operation is being conducted. It is being told that at present, 11 passengers are missing, every effort is being made to find out.

How did the accident happen?

According to the information received, a mini bus fell into a ditch in a truck collision near Gholatir on Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway. In the bus, 19 people are said to be riding, out of which seven people were stuck on the bus. The rest of the bus merged into the river. It is being told that the passengers stayed at Rudraprayag at night after traveling from Kedarnath. This morning he left for Badrinath, but suddenly a truck collided near Gochar and got into the ditch and then got into the Alaknanda river.

Let us know that due to the heavy rains in different areas of Kedarnath and Rudraprayag for the last few days, the flow of water in Alaknanda Nandi is also fast. In such a situation, it is being said that many passengers have been swept away by the bus falling into it.

Police headquarters spokesman IG Nilesh Anand Bharani said, “A bus in Ghaulathir area of ​​Rudraprayag district uncontrollably fell into the Alaknanda river. According to the information received so far, 18 people were riding in the bus.”
