In the second innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s century has brought India to this special stage.
Yashasvi Jaiswal gave India equal to the historic record by scoring a brilliant century in the second innings of the fifth and final Test against England. With this century, India has equaled Australia’s 70 -year -old record to score the most centuries in a Test series.
In 1955, Australia scored a total of 12 centuries in 5 Tests on the West Indies tour. Now India has also completed 12 centuries in 5 matches in the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. In this series, Shubman Gill scored the highest number of 4 centuries (147, 269, 161, 103). Jaiswal (101, 118*), KL Rahul (137, 100) and Rishabh Pant (134, 118) have scored two centuries each. Ravindra Jadeja (107*) and Washington Sundar (101*) have also touched three points once.
Although Pakistan and South Africa had once scored 12-12 centuries in a Test series at their home grounds, India has done this on foreign land.
