India again said, Bangladesh should ensure the safety of Hindus
New Delhi, 7 November (Hindustan Reporter). India has once again urged Bangladesh to make concrete arrangements for the security of its minorities, especially Hindus. India has expressed concern over the recent attack on the Hindu community in Chittagong (Bangladesh).
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in the weekly press conference that it is in our knowledge that properties and business establishments of Hindus have been looted in Chittagong following inflammatory posts on social media targeting Hindu religious organizations. It is believed that extremist elements are behind such posts and these illegal criminal activities. This is bound to create further tension within the community.
He said that India once again urges the Bangladesh government to take strict steps to ensure the safety of Hindus and take action against extremist elements.
