‘India defeated three countries not just Pakistan’, the big statement of the Deputy Army Chief

Lieutenant General Rahul R Singh, Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Capability Development and Sustained) of the Indian Army, on Friday, spoke openly on the challenges faced during the Indo-Pakistan border tension and operation vermilion at the ‘New Age Military Technologies’ program organized by FICCI in New Delhi on Friday. He said that not only Pakistan, but also China and Turkey played an important role in this operation, which has made India felt the need to further strengthen its air defense system.
What was China’s role?
Lieutenant General Rahul R Singh revealed that during Operation Sindoor, Pakistan was getting real-time intelligence from China. He said, “When the DGMO (Director General of Military Operations) level talks were going on between India and Pakistan, Pakistan was getting live information about our important military activities. This information was coming from China.” He also reported that Pakistan has 81% of military equipment, and this operation provided an opportunity for China to test its weapons.
What did Turkey role?
Lieutenant General Rahul R Singh has said that Turkey also provided drones and other assistance to Pakistan. Lieutenant General Singh said- “Turkey made available drones and trained people during the war.” He emphasized that India now faced the challenge of dealing with three fronts – Pakistan, China and Türkiye together.
Why did Pakistan ask for ceasefire?
Lieutenant General Singh said that in Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army took such accurate and effective action that Pakistan was forced to demand a ceasefire. He said- “Another major attack was ready. Pakistan realized that if this attack took place, their situation would be very bad. So they pleaded for the ceasefire.” This strategic step reflects India’s military strength and diplomatic cleverness.
Aerial defense needs
Lieutenant General Singh praised the strength of India’s air defense system, but also warned that there is a need to be more vigilant in future. He said- “This time our cities and populated areas were not attacked, but next time we have to be ready for it.” He stressed that India needs to develop a strong and multi-level air defense system, so that the dangers coming from countries like Pakistan, China and Turkey can be fought.
What did the Deputy Army chief say on the decision of ceasefire?
Lieutenant General Rahul R Singh also spoke on the issue of ceasefire’s decision. He said- “When we achieve a military goal, we should try to stop it. It is easy to start a war, but it is very difficult to control it. So I would say that it was a great step that was taken to stop the war at the appropriate time.”
