Who is Nimisha Priya

Nimisha Priya, a resident of Palakkad district of Kerala, has been lodged in Yemen jail since 2017. Nimisha went to Yemen in 2011 after completing her nursing studies. His parents sent their daughter to Yemen, where they started working as a nurse. In 2015, he opened a medical clinic in Sana’aa, the capital of Yemen, in which Talal Abdo Mahdi helped him. In 2014 2014, her husband and younger daughter returned to India due to financial constraints. After that Nimisha’s life in Yemen became frightening.

Her colleague Talal Abdo Mahdi allegedly harassed her physically and mentally by describing herself as Nimisha’s husband through fake documents. He seized Nimisha’s passport, collected money, and threatened again and again. Fed up with this, in 2017, Nimisha tried to escape from Yemen after getting rid of Talal and gave him a high amount of medicine to make him unconscious, killing Talal. Nimisha was then arrested and accused of murder. In the year 2018, the court sentenced him to death.
