India will continue to buy crude oil from Russia! Despite Donald Trump’s threats, stop shopping
Donald Trump Amid threats related to tariffs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given strict content to the US President. PM Modi has appealed to the countrymen to buy local products. Along with this, PM Modi’s administration has indicated that India will continue to buy crude oil from Russia. The Modi government has not instructed India’s oil refineries to stop buying crude oil from Russia and no decision has been taken yet on stopping the purchase.
Refinery can buy oil from whom you want
The people associated with the case have given this information to Bloomberg on the condition of anonymity. People said that both government and private refineries are allowed to buy oil from preferred sources and procurement of crude oil is a commercial decision. In the weekend, PM Modi emphasized the importance of protecting India’s economic interests under uncertain global conditions. This comment came only a few days after the Trump administration imposed a 25% tariff on India. Trump has threatened India that if India continues to buy Russian oil, then New Delhi will impose a separate penalty.
‘We will buy the same things that are made of sweat of an Indian’
At a rally in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, PM Modi said, “The world economy is going through many apprehensions- there is an atmosphere of instability. Now, whatever we buy should be the same scale- we will buy the same things that are made of sweat of an Indian.”
India and Russia’s friendship is piercing Trump
India has become one of Trump’s most prominent and big goals as he wants to pressurize Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine. The US President launched a scathing attack on India last week and criticized him for joining the BRICS groups of developing countries and maintaining deep relations with Russia. He had said- “They can jointly drop their dead economies down.”
