Indian Air Force will practice on Gujarat border
Ahmedabad: Big news related to the Indian Air Force has come out. The Indian Air Force will practice on the Gujarat border from 3:30 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday afternoon, for which the NOTAM has been released.
What is the whole matter?
The Indian Air Force (IAF) will conduct a prescribed aerial exercise on the coast of Gujarat from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm on 4 June, for which a notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued to warn the temporary airspace sanctions to aviation personnel.
The exercise will include leading fighter aircraft including Rafael, Sukhoi-30 and Jaguar Jet and aims to increase the war readiness of the Indian Air Force. It is expected that it will simulate the enemy’s goals and the exact attack capabilities of the participating aircraft will be tested, which will strengthen the operational preparations in the strategically sensitive area.
What is notam?
Notam (notice to airmen) is a communication tool used to give necessary information to pilots, air traffic controllers and other aviation personnel in aviation. It provides updates on temporary changes or dangers that can affect flight operations, such as closed runways, adverse weather conditions or military exercises. The primary objective of NOTAM is to ensure flight safety by informing all the concerned parties in real time.
When was notam released earlier?
Earlier last month, IAF released a notam for large-scale aerial exercises on the southern part of the India-Pakistan border on 7 and 8 May. The exercise was part of India’s regular operational readiness practice, including maneuvers on the international border in Rajasthan. The exercise included all frontline aircraft like Rafael, Mirage 2000 and Sukhoi-30. NOTAM had banned the airspace in the affected areas during the stipulated time.
Significantly, during the recent Operation Sindoor, the Indian Air Force taught a lot of lessons to Pakistan. During this time the strength of the Indian Air Force was seen by the whole world.
