Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar roared at Pakistan, said- terrorism and trade are not possible together.

Islamabad. Foreign Minister S. In the 23rd meeting of the SCO Council on Wednesday, Jaishankar reprimanded Pakistan and said that there is no possibility of trade along with terrorism. He said that terrorism, extremism and separatism are three evils, if not resolved then the benefits of cooperation and integration will not be achieved.

Jaishankar said, if activities like cross-border terrorism, extremism and separatism take place, it is unlikely to promote trade, energy flows, connectivity and people-to-people contacts. Jaishankar explained to Pakistan the importance of being a good neighbor through gestures. He said, if there is a lack of trust or insufficient cooperation, if there is a decline in friendship and the feeling of being a good neighbor is missing, then there is definitely a need to introspect and find solutions to these problems.

Highlighting the challenges before the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the External Affairs Minister said, its objective is to strengthen mutual trust, friendship and good neighborly relations, develop multidimensional cooperation, especially cooperation of regional nature. Jaishankar said that the organization aims to become a positive force in terms of balanced development, integration and conflict prevention. He said, it is also clear in the charter what are the main challenges. These are mainly three, which SCO is committed to combat, these are terrorism, separatism, extremism.

The Foreign Minister is in Islamabad to attend the 23rd meeting of the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) Council of Heads of Government (CHG). The event started on Tuesday evening with a welcome dinner hosted by Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

This is the first visit of an Indian Foreign Minister to Pakistan in 9 years. Former external affairs minister, late Sushma Swaraj, visited Islamabad in 2015 to attend a security conference on Afghanistan. On Tuesday afternoon, the Indian delegation led by Foreign Minister Jaishankar reached Noor Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi.
