The Indian Navy is placed in the list of the most modern and powerful army in the world. Now the strength of the Indian Navy in the sea has increased further. The Navy on June 18 has included the Anti Submarine Warfare Shailo Water Craft ‘INS Arnala’ in its fleet. Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan of India was also present at the ceremony held at Navy Dockyard, Visakhapatnam. Naming on this fort

The INS Arnala warship is named after the historic Arnala Fort located in Vasai, Maharashtra, which reflects the rich maritime heritage of India. INS Arnala will make its presence felt against various dangers in the sea like a firm -standing fort. INS Arnala is equipped with strong construction and advanced capabilities that will protect India by facing emerging challenges in the maritime field.

80 percent of indigenous technology uses

INS Arnala Warship has been prepared with the help of 80 percent indigenous technology. These warships are equipped with advanced systems of major Indian defense firms including Bharat Electronics Limited, L&T, Mahindra Defense and Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited – MEIL. The weight of this warship is more than 1490 tonnes and the length is 77.6 meters. It is the largest warship of the Indian Navy, which runs on the diesel engine-wardergate combination. More than 55 micro, miniature and medium enterprises are involved in this preparation.

What are the merits of INS Arnala?

INS Arnala has been designed and produced for the Anti-Saberine Warfare Shailo Water Craft Operation Series. This warship is capable of intelligence monitoring, coastal security, search and rescue and low-intensity marine operations in sub-constituency-rich areas. It will bring transformational changes in India’s naval capabilities with the Arnala vessel joining the naval fleet. This will strengthen coastal security and will further strengthen India’s position as a self -sufficient maritime power in the strategically important Indian Ocean region.
