Indian Origin Delta Pilot Arrested: A shocking incident took place at San Francisco Airport in the US. Here a pilot of Delta Airlines was arrested on Sunday morning when the aircraft landed at the airport for 10 minutes. The arrested pilot has been identified as 34 -year -old Rustom Bhagwagar. Rustom is of Indian origin and has been accused of child sexual harassment.
This is how the arrest of the pilot
Officers of the Contra Costa County Sheriff Department and agents of Homeland Security Investigation attacked the Cockpit soon after the delta flight 2809, Boeing 757-300, after coming from Minianpolis. According to USA Today, the arrest took place when the passengers were still preparing to get off the aircraft. Eyewitnesses say that as soon as the aircraft landed at least 10 DHS agents climbed into it and arrested the pilot.
Delta Airlines responds
Delta Airlines has issued a statement regarding this entire matter. Airlines said that we are shocked by this incident. The company does not have a tolerant attitude towards illegal activities. The accused pilot has been suspended immediately and the investigation is being fully supported.
Co-pilot expressed surprise
Rustom Bhagwagar’s co-pilot said that he was surprised and had no information about this arrest. He was not told about the arrest because he was afraid that he would not inform the saffron, because the agent wanted to arrest him without giving him any chance to run away. The arrest of Bhagwagar was in April on charges of sexual abuse of a child under 10 years of age.
