Ireland Attack on Indian Girl: The latest victim of racist attacks in Ireland has become a six -year -old Indian -origin girl. Nia Naveen, who belongs to Kottayam in Kerala, was playing outside her house in Waterford city of South-Eastern Ireland, when a 12 to 14-year-old gang attacked her. He called him ‘dirty’ and said that “go back to India”. The girl’s mother has been living in Ireland for 8 years and is a nurse by profession.
What did the girl’s mother tell?
The girl’s mother, Anupa Achutan, told Irish Mirror that the gang punched her daughter’s face, hit her private part with a bicycle, punched her neck and pulled her hair. Anupa Achutan’s family came to live in this house in January and everything was going well till Monday’s incident.
The girl was scared
According to Anupa Achuthan, the incident occurred when the girl was playing outside her house and she was at home for her 10 -month -old son to feed her 10 -month -old son. A few minutes later, the girl returned home crying and she was so scared that she could not even tell what happened to her. However, the girl’s friends told that some boys punched her on her face and also attacked her private part.
This was the most scary moment
The girl’s mother said that the attack was done without any provocation and now her family is scared. She said that she could not even imagine that her daughter would be insecure there. She says that she considered Ireland as her home but today she feels helpless. The girl’s mother told that the way the attack boys were laughing at him, he was the most scary.
‘Children should not be punished’
Achuthan said that he is proud to be Indian, but he is also happy to be an Irish citizen. “This is my second country. I am very happy to be an Irish citizen, but now I think I am not here.” She has given a report to the police about the incident, but said that she wants these children to be counseled instead of punishing them. They should be explained that this kind of behavior is wrong with anyone.
Indian community increased attacks on people
This incident has taken place at a time when attacks on the Indian community in Ireland are increasing.
