Singapore: The Indian youth, who molested an air hostess (hostess) in a flight, has been sentenced to three weeks in jail by a Singapore court. The Indian youth named Rajat confessed his crime in the court. It is alleged that the woman personnel were molested by a woman personnel in a Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight going from Perth to Changi Airport.
Was tampered with toilet
According to the information, the air hostess was cleaning a toilet on 28 February 2025 at 11.20 am and leaned down to pick up a piece of toilet paper on the floor. This person named Rajat allegedly grabbed the hostess from behind and pushed her with him into the flight toilet. After this, the young man molested the woman.
Arrested at Changi Airport
A passenger molested the young man, and he immediately took the hostess out of the toilet and took him to the back of the aircraft, so that he could avoid silver. Rajat, studying in a university in Australia, was arrested as soon as the aircraft arrived at the Changi Airport.
Person’s defense lawyer demanded reduced sentence
Rajat’s defense lawyer Ranjit Singh said that his client’s clean record and good conduct in school allows him to give less punishment and fine in the case. According to Singapore law, the guilty of molestation may have to face jail, fine, cane or any such punishment. At the same time, government lawyer Eugene Lau demanded that Rajat be sentenced to three to six weeks in jail and said that the hostess had suffered psychological pain. He said that she was afraid and humiliated by what Rajat did. Lau said that it was a serious matter that the crime was done in the aircraft.
