In fact, both the teams were planning an ODI series in the month of June itself.

Let us inform you that the final match of WTC has been scheduled from June 7 to June 12 and after that in the month of July, the Indian team is going to go on a tour of West Indies. Due to this, danger has started looming on Afghanistan’s tour of India. BCCI also wants to give proper time to the players of the upcoming World Cup.

It is worth mentioning that after playing the final of the World Test Championship (WTC Final 2023), Team India is going to play two Tests, three ODIs and five T20 International matches with the West Indies on Caribbean soil between July 12 and August 13, 2023. At the same time, there is a possibility of Asia Cup being held in September for 2023 and then the ODI World Cup will also be played in October-November. In such a situation, keeping in mind the big tournaments, the BCCI also believes that a break is also necessary for some players.
