Indigo aircraft trapped in air turbulance due to thunderstorms, passengers stirred up
Indigo aircraft trapped in air turbulance
New Delhi: IndiGo aircraft was trapped in air turbulance due to the storm and thunderstorm in Delhi today, due to which landing was delayed at Delhi Airport. The aircraft was coming to Delhi from Raipur. Due to the dust storm, the flight continued to have turbulance for a long time. During this, there was a stir among the passengers. However, the aircraft was later safely landed.
It is said that in view of the situation before the touch down, the pilot did not land the aircraft and took the aircraft up. After several rounds in the sky, when the wind running at a speed of 80 km per hour became a little calm, then Flight 6E 6313 was landed. The aircraft took safe landing due to the pilot’s understanding. But during this time there was a stir among the passengers. Its video has also surfaced.
Aircraft was trapped in air turbulance on 21 May
Let me tell you that earlier May 2025, an Indigo Airlines aircraft going from Srinagar to Delhi was caught in a serious crisis due to turbulance and hailstorm. This damaged the nose radome of the aircraft, which protects the radar antenna. The aircraft was safely launched at Srinagar. The aircraft had over 220 passengers and crew members. The pilot released the ‘Pan PAN’ (emergency call) to Srinagar ATC and with the help of radar vector, the aircraft was safely removed. The autopylot shut down, and many important systems such as angle of attack sensor, alternative law protection, and backup speed scale came to warning. The pilot manually controlled the aircraft.
What is air turbulance?
Air Turbulence is a sudden and irregular shaking of the aircraft during air travel. Strong winds in the upper atmosphere, clouds with thunder (cumulonimbus) or hailstorm can cause turbulance. Sudden changes in wind speed and direction can also cause turbulance. It is usually considered normal during flight, but its severity may vary. For prevention, the seat belt should always be tied during the flight as the turbulance may come suddenly.
