Karachi: Unidentified gunmen opened fire on a passenger bus in Pakistan’s disturbed Balochistan province on Wednesday, killing 3 people and injuring seven others. A senior official has given information about the incident. Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind said that the vehicle was going from Karachi to the provincial capital Quetta, when he was attacked in the Kalat area. No group has taken responsibility for immediate attack.
Security forces surround the area
Shahid Rind said that the injured have been admitted to the district headquarters hospital of Kalat. According to the spokesperson, security agencies, district administration and rescue teams have immediately reached the spot to deal with the situation. He said, “Security forces have surrounded the area and the search operation is going on. Security forces are chasing the attackers. ‘
Explosion occurred in Balochistan
Significantly, there have been frequent violence incidents in Balochistan province of Pakistan. Recently, 4 people were killed and 20 others were injured in a bomb blast near a market. The explosion occurred near Jabbar Market in the fort Abdulla district of Balochistan, causing heavy damage to many buildings. Many shops collapsed after the explosion and several establishments caught fire.
Balochistan province is disturbed
Let me tell you that Balochistan has been facing unrest for almost two decades. Local ethnic Baloch groups and other parties related to them allege that the Government of Pakistan is exploiting the mineral wealth of the province.
