Instagram Influencer Sharmishtha Panoli was arrested by Kolkata Police, speaking on Operation vermilion, commented on special religion

Kolkata Police from Gurugram in Haryana arrested an Instagram Influencer and Law Student Sharmishtha Panoli. Sharmistha is a resident of Pune. He is accused of making objectionable remarks on a particular religion, which he shared on the social media platform Instagram.

Sharmishtha shared a video about the silence of Bollywood celebs on Operation Sindoor. But while speaking on celebs, he made objectionable remarks on a particular religion. After this, the Kolkata police had registered a case against Sharmistha after the complaint.

A case has been registered against Sharmistha in the case of Section 196 (spreading hatred or spreading hostility among religious communities), 299 (intentional and malicious task that hurts religious sentiments), 353 (spreading public disturbance).

According to the police, Sharmistha and her family went missing after posting the video. Due to which it was not possible to stop the notice. The police then demanded the court to issue an arrest warrant. The court accepted the petition and issued an arrest warrant against Sharmistha.

After this, a team of Kolkata Police traced Sharmistha’s location and arrested him from Gurugram late on Friday night.

The video was apologized when the video went viral

Sharmishtha Panoli had removed her when the video had a dispute and also apologized unconditionally. He wrote, I apologize unconditionally. Whatever I said are my personal feelings. My aim was not to deliberately hurt anyone. I will be careful about my public post in future. Forgive me once again.
