Intel announced to reintroduce free coffee and tea to boost staff morale
Intel: Intel is planning to bring back free coffee and tea for its employees. During this year, Intel was facing a lot of criticism after cutting many employee allowances as part of its cost cutting strategy. In fact, after the decline in Intel’s valuation, the company adopted the strategy of firing a large number of its employees. Along with this, the company also brought cost cutting strategy, after which even common facilities like copy-tea were stopped at the company’s workplace.
In August, Intel announced the layoff of 15,000 employees from the company.
In August, Intel had announced to lay off 15,000 employees from the company. For this, it was announced that he would be thrown out of the company either through Voluntary Separation Agreement or through retrenchment. Along with this, in August the company had announced that it was stopping many benefits of its employees. Out of this, the company had announced to stop the cost or allowances of internet, phone and travel.
Company’s new announcement after three months of retrenchment
Now, three months after taking the step of layoffs, Intel has made a new announcement. This chip manufacturer has announced that it is going to again provide the facility of free drinks i.e. tea and coffee to its employees at the workplace. The company’s objective behind this is to keep the morale of the employees high.
In its internal message, the company has said that “The company is going to bring back such perks to increase the comfort and morale of its employees. Even though the company is still struggling on the cost front, we understand that small- “Small comforts play a big role in our daily routine, but we know these are small steps but we hope they will play an important role in supporting our workplace culture.”
