Amravati:On the occasion of International Yoga Day (21 June), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in a grand program in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The program will be held in the 26 km long corridor from the middle of the city to Bhogapuram. More than three lakh people will be able to do yoga together. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the program will run from 6.30 am to 8 pm. The event will be held in such a way that many records including ‘Guinness World Record’ are established.

The Andhra Pradesh government aims to set records by organizing several lakh people in yoga not only in Visakhapatnam but also in the entire state, not only in Visakhapatnam but also in the entire state. The theme of the 11th International Yoga Day celebrated by many countries around the world is ‘Ek Earth, Yoga for a Health’. Naidu said, “More than 25, 000 tribal students will do Surya Namaskar for 108 minutes. Its purpose is to make a record of the largest group and most people to make Surya Namaskar together. ”

Yoga session in one lakh centers, 2.39 crore registration

The government aims to organize yoga sessions in one lakh centers across the state and attract five lakh people to participate in yoga activities in Visakhapatnam. Referring to comprehensive arrangements in an area of ​​26 km from the middle of R to Bhogapuram in Visakhapatnam, the Chief Minister said that during this time 3.19 lakh people can do yoga simultaneously. He said that participants are expected to join from eight lakh places around the state, country and the world. He said that more than two crore estimate of 2.39 crore people have registered for participation in the activities of Yoga Day.

What is ‘Yogandhra’ campaign?

Prior to Yoga Day, the southern state started a month -long ‘Yogandhra’ campaign to create awareness about yoga, in which several activities related to this ancient genre generated from India were organized. A government release said that under ‘Yogandhra’ 15,000 yoga competitions were organized from village level to state level, 5,451 trainers contributed to this effort and more than one crore participants of various yoga programs were certified. 326 ‘compartments’ with a capacity of 1,000 people have been prepared for the smooth conduct of this great event and five lakh mats have been arranged for 3.32 lakh T-shirts and yoga. Officials have identified more than 1.3 lakh places across the state for yoga activities on 21 June and registered alternative arrangements for 30,000 people in Visakhapatnam.

Alternative arrangements when it rains

Although there is no forecast of rain, Chief Minister Naidu has instructed the officials to make alternative arrangements. The Chief Minister recently visited Visakhapatnam personally to take stock of the preparations. He called upon all the people of the state to make Yoga Day a success. Yoga lovers are expected to arrive at the yoga venue in Visakhapatnam by more than 3,000 buses. The Chief Minister said that all the participants should reach their respective places between 6 and half past six in the morning on Yoga Day.

What are the security arrangements?

Meanwhile, extensive security arrangements are being made for the program in Visakhapatnam. Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta earlier said, “More than 1,200 CCTV cameras and drones will monitor the 26 km part where thousands of people will do yoga. Around 10,000 policemen have been deployed for security. ”During the event, a police control room equipped with high technology has been set up to ensure coordination and security. A large number of people are expected to participate in the event. Gupta said that due to the involvement of Prime Minister Modi and other chief ministers, the standard security protocol is being followed at every level. (Language)
