Soon its assembly will start in India. Component parts for trial production of the new iPhone 17 series have reached Foxconn’s plant. Soon, its assembly will be initiated. Earlier, there were reports that the production of Made in India iPhone 17 could be delayed. The reason for this was to be sent from here to more than 300 Chinese employees working in India.
Production will start soon in India
According to the ET report, many components and sub assembly parts of iPhone 17 such as displays, cover glass, mechanical housing, integrated rear camera modules etc. have been ordered to India last month. According to the report, in June, FoxConn has imported 10% component from China’s Hoi Hoi Prison Industry. Apart from this, the company has asked for most of the components iPhone 14 and iPhone 16, which are being exported the most from India.
According to the report, the trial production of iPhone 17 can be started this month. At the same time, the final production can begin in next month i.e. August. This series will be launched in September. Apple is preparing to start its upcoming iPhone 17 series production in India and China simultaneously. Apart from China, India has become an important export hub for the company. Especially the iPhones made in India are exported to the American market.
Apple is trying to shift its iPhone production completely to India. Especially the iPhone to be exported in the American market will be made in India. As soon as Donald Trump comes to power, the emphasis is on making the iPhone in India due to the imposition of heavy tariffs on China. In the last one year, a jump of up to 219% has been seen in the number of iPhone to be exported from India to America.
