IPL 2025: BCCI’s big decision after Operation Sindoor, PBKS Vs Mi Match shifted from Dharamshala in Ahmedabad!

IPL 2025: There will be a big match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (Mi) on 11 May. This match was to be held in Dharamshala earlier but BCCI has changed the place in view of security arrangements under ‘Operation Sindoor’. Now this match will be seen in Ahmedabad, Gujarat instead of Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh.

The order to compete in Ahmedabad on May 11 has been taken by BCCI. The BCCI has taken this decision keeping in mind the increasing tension between India and Pakistan and the safety of the players.

IPL 2025: GCA took responsibility for organizing

Under ‘Operation Sindoor’, the Government of India has closed several airports including Dharamshala, Jammu and Chandigarh. On May 7, the team of Mumbai Indians could not reach Dharamshala due to the closure of the airport. BCCI decided to compete outside Dharamshala in view of the war and security between India and Pakistan. After which the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) has taken the responsibility of organizing this match in Ahmedabad.

IPL 2025: Why Ahmedabad was chosen

After Dharamshala, it was considered to conduct this match to the house of Mumbai Indians. But BCCI says that the team cannot be allowed to take advantage of the domestic ground, due to which Ahmedabad was selected for this match. GCA Secretary Anil Patel has confirmed that BCCI had requested him at the last moment and he has said yes to this. Now this match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium.

IPL 2025: Both teams will soon reach Ahmedabad

Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians may soon reach Ahmedabad via Delhi. According to sources, both teams will have to come to Delhi first and after that they will leave for Ahmedabad. BCCI has ensured that all arrangements related to the journey will be made for the team.
