IPL 2025 Mi Vs GT Eliminator Highlights: In the Eliminator match of IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians defeated Gujarat Titans by 20 runs and cut the ticket of qualifier 2. In this high-scoring match, Rohit Sharma hit 81 runs in 50 balls and took the team to 228/5. In response, the Gujarat Titans team could score 208/6 runs. Now Mumbai will compete with Punjab Kings in qualifier 2 and the journey of Gujarat Titans ended here.

In the Eliminator match of IPL 2025 played in New Chandigarh (Mullanpur), Mumbai Indians won the toss and scored 228/5 in 20 overs, batting first. The bang of Rohit Sharma and Johnny Bairstow made Mumbai a strong start. Bairstow scored 47 runs in 22 balls, while captain Rohit Sharma scored an excellent innings of 81 runs in 50 balls. Rohit completed his 7000 runs in the IPL during this innings and also became the first Indian batsman to hit 300 sixes. After Rohit, Suryakumar Yadav scored 33 runs, Tilak Verma 25 and Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten 22 -run innings to bring Mumbai to around 229. Famous Krishna and Sai Kishore took 2–2 wickets from Gujarat, but the remaining bowlers faced heavy beating. Especially Jerald Koetzi threw expensive 3 overs, with 51 runs.

The Gujarat Titans started very poorly chasing a huge target of 229 runs. In the very first over, captain Shubman Gill was out LBW out of Trent Bolt by scoring just 1 run. After the initial shock, Sai Sudarshan and Kusal Mendis tried to handle the innings. Mendis was out early, but Sudarshan stayed from one end and played a brilliant innings of 80 runs in 49 balls with the help of 10 fours and 1 six. From the other end, Washington Sundar also made the match exciting by scoring 48 runs in just 24 balls. But Jasprit Bumrah scattered Sundar’s gills from Yorker and from there the attitude of the match changed. Rutherford (24 runs), Rahul Tewatia (16 runs) and Shah Rukh Khan (13 runs) made their last attempts after Sudarshan was dismissed, but it was not enough. Gujarat needed 24 runs in the last over, but he could only score 4 runs and lost the match by 20 runs.

Trent Bolt took 2 wickets for Mumbai, while Bumrah, Richard Glison, Mitchell Santner and Ashwini Kumar took one wicket each. The most affordable bowler was Jaspreet Bumrah, who took one wicket for just 27 runs in 4 overs and broke Gujarat’s biggest partnership.

Now Mumbai Indians will play the Qualifier 2 from Punjab Kings lost in qualifier 1 on 1 June. At the same time, Bangalore’s team has already made it to the finals, and the journey of Gujarat Titans ended here.
