IPL 2025 finished, but BCCI did not pay salary! Amended allowance policy implemented
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet fully cleared the dues of its staff, which has worked in the IPL 2025 season. According to reports, since January, many employees of media, operations and finance departments are pending salary and travel allowances. However, in the recent annual general meeting (AGM) of the board, a new policy regarding the payment system has been fixed, which is expected to be completed soon.
BCCI changed the old system of travel allowances
According to PTI report, BCCI has amended the existing policy of travel allowances of employees. Previously, employees used to get an allowance of Rs 15,000 on a short time journey and Rs 10,000 per day on a long -term journey. In addition, one -time ‘Insidental’ payment was Rs 7500. This policy applied to employees doing duty in IPL, WPL and ICC events.
Now, by changing this policy, a flat allowance of Rs 10,000 per day has been fixed for all types of visits. After the tax deduction, employees get around Rs 6500 per day. A BCCI source said that “This clear policy was necessary due to the claim being claimed by some employees working from the Mumbai headquarters. Now that the policy has been fixed, the dues will be made soon.”
300 dollars per day allowance on traveling abroad
According to the new policy, now US $ 300 per day allowance will be given to BCCI employees on foreign tours. This new system will be implemented from the India vs England Series starting from this week. However, the top officials of the board will continue to get an allowance of $ 1000 per day on foreign tours to the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and Joint Secretary. Additionally, Rs 40,000 will be paid for a single day meeting in India and Rs 30,000 per day on multi-day domestic trip.
Claim up to 7 lakh rupees on 70 days trip in IPL 2025
If an employee joined the entire journey during the IPL 2025, which lasted for 70 days, he can claim a maximum travel allowance of up to Rs 7 lakh. The facility of claiming 60 per cent on limited journey and 40 per cent allowance without traveling without traveling has also been provided.
