IPL 2025: RCB’s big decision, Zimbabwe’s 6.8 -foot bowler joins the team, Lungi Angidi will be out before the playoffs

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has included Zimbabwe’s fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani in the team instead of Lungi Angidi (Lungi NGIDI). The BCCI gave its official information on Monday (May 19).

Angidi will leave the Indian Premier League by 26 May and go back to the World Test Championship preparations. Let us know that Angidi is part of the South Africa team for the final of the World Test Championship against Australia at Lord’s Cricket Ground from June 11.

Mujarbani has not played in the IPL yet. Earlier, he has played the role of net bowler in the IPL, for the Lucknow Super Giants team in the 2022 season. RCB has added him to Rs 75 lakh.

Angidi will be available for the RCB league stage match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 23 May at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. At the same time, RCB’s leading bowler Josh Hazlewood is currently emerging from a shoulder injury and it is expected that he will be available for the playoff matches. Let us know that Hazlewood is also part of the Australia team for the final of the World Test Championship.

Mujarbani has played 12 Tests, 55 ODIs and 70 T20 Internationals for Zimbabwe. He took 9 wickets in a recent Test match played against Bangladesh at Silhat, for which he was chosen as Player of the Match. He has previously played in many franchise leagues of the world. For Multan Sultan and Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League, Gulf Giants in the International League T20 and St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the Caribbean Premier League.
