Batting first after losing the toss at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Lucknow Super Giants hit 235 runs losing just two wickets in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh played a stormy innings of 117 runs in 56 balls, including 10 fours and 8 sixes. He completed his century in the 17th over and became the first foreign player to score a century this season.
Marsh was supported by Nicholas Puran, who hit 56 not out in 27 balls. He completed the fifty in 23 balls. In the end, Rishabh Pant also added 16 runs in 6 balls to reach the team’s score 235. From Gujarat, only Sai Kishore and Arshad Khan got one wicket each, but both proved to be very expensive.
