Dir al-Bala (Gaza Strip): The Israeli army has been carrying out a stubborn attack on Hamas since the death of its soldiers. The IDF has launched a big air attack in Gaza. At least 34 people have died in this. According to Gaza’s health workers, these attacks have taken place at a time when the serious human crisis in Gaza is deepening and the possibilities of the ceasefire are slowly progressing.
These attacks, which started late Friday night, continued till Saturday morning. A attack on ‘Palestine Stadium’ in Gaza City killed 12 people, where the displaced people took shelter. At the same time, 8 other people were killed in the apartment. All these bodies were brought to Shifa Hospital, where the staff gave this information.
Attacks intensified before Israel-Gaja ceasefire
6 more people were killed in an attack on a tent in Mavasi, the southern part of Gaza. The attacks took place at a time when US President Donald Trump indicated that a ceasefire agreement could be done within next week. Talking to reporters at the Oval Office of the White House, Trump said, “We are working on the Gaza issue and trying to solve it.”
According to sources, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer will go to Washington next week where Gaza ceasefire, Iran and other issues will be discussed. This information was given by an American official who spoke on the condition of keeping the name confidential as he was not allowed to interact with the media.
50 hostage of Israeli could not return from Gaza
Significantly, since the ceasefire broke in the last March, Israel’s military operation in Gaza continues, causing a humanitarian crisis and deepening. There are still about 50 Israeli hostage in Gaza, out of which less than half of which is expected to be alive. These are the same hostages who were abducted by Hamas on 7 October 2023 during an attack on Israel, after which the 21 -month long war began.
More than 56 thousand deaths so far in Gaza
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, more than 56,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in this war so far. The ministry does not distinguish between citizens and fighters, but says that there are more than half of women and children among the dead. The relatives of the hostages hope that the US President Trump’s mediation, which has a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, can also pressurize the agreement in Gaza.
What is the intention of Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has got domestic support due to the success in the Iran war, leading to steps towards ending the Gaza war – although his over -existent alliance partners are opposing it. At the same time, Hamas has repeatedly said that if the war is ended, it is ready to release all the hostages, but Netanyahu says that the war will not stop until Hamas is completely destroyed and expelled, which Hamas has turned down.
Supply system in Gaza Crooks
Humanitarian aid and supply systems have collapsed in Gaza due to the fierce war. Palestinians are facing a terrible situation. Israel has allowed some limited help from mid -May after being closed for two and a half months. There are incidents such as looting in the United Nations relief distribution efforts and taking off the goods by the mob. Many Palestinians have also been shot while going to aid centers set up by “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” running with American and Israeli support.
According to witnesses, Israeli soldiers opened fire on a crowd of people going towards these centers. While the Israeli army has said that it is investigating these incidents in which ordinary citizens suffered losses. (AP)
