New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday said the Indian government has resumed issuing electronic visas for Canadian nationals. Notably, the visa issuance was suspended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Centre in September this year after the diplomatic tussle between Indian and Canadian governments intensified over the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Addressing the reporters in New Delhi after the conclusion of the virtual G20 Summit, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the External Affairs Minister said the visa services were resumed as the situation in Canada became more secure.
