Air India Express is canceling flights on some routes due to changing conditions. Sources gave this information. Air India Group has two Airlines – Air India and Air India Express. The Air India Express operates an important part of services in West Asia with small size aircraft. Air India said in a statement on Sunday, “Amid growing tension in Middle-East, Air India Group confirms that our flights are currently not passing through Iran, Iraq and Israel’s air space.”
Plane will be saved from flying on Persian Gulf also
According to Air India statement, “We will also gradually avoid the use of some air space above the Persian Gulf in the coming days, and instead the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Oman and Kuwait will use other paths for other destination flights.” According to the statement, this adjustment may increase the duration of traveling for these services as well as a few selected flights of Europe and North America. A source said the Air India Express has decided to cancel some flights connecting the cities of West Asia due to the ‘low load factor’.
Flights are also canceled due to high congestion in air space
Low load factor means low booking for a particular flight. The second source said that flights are being canceled due to increasing tension in West Asia and high congestion in air space. He told that passengers are already being informed about cancellation. There was no official comment on flight cancellation by Air India Express. Meanwhile, in a statement, Air India said that she is constantly consulting with its external security advisors and is keeping a careful watch on the emerging conditions. In addition, Air India is ready to implement additional measures to maintain the security of its operations.
