Jaishankar mentioned terrorism

S Jaishankar also mentioned terrorism. During this, he said, “I want to remind you one thing, there was a man named Osama bin Laden. Why did he stay safe in a city in Pakistan for years?” He said, “I want the world to understand that it is not only an India-Pakistan issue. It is about terrorism and this terrorism will eventually bother you.”

‘India is reliable economic partner’

Speaking amidst ongoing talks on the European Union-India Free Trade Agreement, Jaishankar firmly introduced India as a reliable economic partner. He said, “India provides a 1.4 billion country, skilled labor and more reliable economic partnership than China.”

Jaishankar also said about Russia-Ukraine war

On the situation of India in relation to the Russian-Ukraine war, Jaishankar said, “We do not believe that the differences can be resolved through war. We do not believe that a solution will come out of the battlefield. We are not instructed or decisive but we are not involved in it.” Responding to criticism on India’s refusal to join the restrictions against Russia, he said, “We also have strong relations with Ukraine, it is not only about Russia. Every country naturally consider its own experience, history and interests.”

What did Jaishankar say about Trump?

Jaishankar was asked if he trusts US President Donald Trump, he replied, “What do you mean?” Asked if Trump is a partner with whom India wants to deepen relations, he said, “I take the world as I find. Our aim is to pursue every relationship that fulfills our interests, and relations with America are very important to us. This personality is not about X or President Y.” (Ani)
