Tokyo: Japan has taken another major step towards strengthening its military abilities amid growing regional tensions. For the first time, Japan has deployed F-35B stealth fighter aircraft at Nutabar Air Force base located in the southern part of the country. Three aircraft reached the first batch on Thursday. These aircraft are capable of escaping the radar and are created by the US defense company Lockheed Martin.

Japan from America took F-35B stealth aircraft

The Japanese Air Self Defense Force informed that we have bought a total of four F-35B aircraft from the US. The first batch has 3 aircraft, while the fourth aircraft will arrive later. All aircraft will be deployed on Nutabaru base located in Miyajaki province. The Ministry of Defense of Japan has announced that four and F-35B aircraft will be deployed here by March 2026.

China will worry

This move of Japan will definitely worry to China. Japan is continuously increasing its military appearance on especially southwest regions and remote islands. The main reason for this is to be seen as a regional threat to China’s growing military activities. Under this strategic approach, Japan is constructing a new Air Force base on Mageshima Island, which is located about 160 km south of Nutabaru base. The runway is being prepared for flight exercises of F-35B aircraft on this island.

Japan will deploy a total of 42 stealth planes

Japan plans to deploy a total of 42 F-35B (short takeoff and vertical landing) and 105 F-35A (traditional takeoff and landing capacity) fighter jets. If this scheme is completed, Japan will become the largest user of F-35 aircraft after the US.

The deployment of these advanced aircraft will greatly promote Japan’s aerial defense capacity and will ensure active resistance against potential threats. The increasing deployment of the army at strategic places indicates that Japan is now molding its defense policy as a more active and aggressive form. (AP)
