Jasprit Bumrah WTC Record: Jasprit Bumrah once again showed why he is the most dangerous fast bowler in the world at the moment. As soon as he took 5 wickets in England’s first innings, he not only completed his first Lord’s Five-Vick Hall, but also became the most often bowler in the World Test Championship.
India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah proved his class again by bowling brilliantly in the Lord’s Test. On Friday, July 11, he dropped four important wickets of England to make India a comeback. First he bowled captain Ben Stokes, then in the next over, Joe Root and Chris Woakes were consecutive balls. After this, he performed his fifth hunting by spreading Jofra Archer’s gills.
With this performance, Bumrah broke the record of Kapil Dev by becoming the first Indian bowler to take five wickets 13 times on foreign land in Test cricket. Apart from this, it was his 12th five wicket hall in the World Test Championship, which also left Ashwin behind, who had done this feat 11 times. Bumrah has now become the most often bowlers who have done this feat in the World Test Championship.
Not only this, Bumrah has now halted 11 five wickets in SENA countries, due to which he has equaled the record of Pakistan’s great bowler Wasim Akram. This is the highest record of any Asian bowler. Bumrah has so far taken 155 wickets by playing 33 Tests in these four countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia), while Akram took 146 wickets in 32 matches.
