Joe Root has now become the second batsman to score the most Test runs in England (any home ground). He has scored 7220 runs in England so far, while Tendulkar scored 7216 runs in India. That is, Root has left behind the master blaster in terms of scoring runs on home grounds. Now in this case there are Ricky Potting (7578 runs, Australia) ahead of him.
