Jofra Archer delivers Career Fastest Spell: Jofra Archer appeared in his old color on the third day in Lord’s Test. The England fast bowler harassed two India all -rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy at their own pace. Four years later, Jofra Archer, who returned to Test cricket, showed why he is considered to be England’s deadliest fast bowler. On Saturday, July 12, on the third day of the Lord’s Test (India vs England), he threw a spell that surprised everyone. Archer put the fastest over of his career so far, with six consecutive balls above 90 mph.
This over was 73rd, where Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy were in front. The first ball was a short ball of 92.7 mph which was in Jadeja’s body line. The second ball even more dangerous 93.1 mph of short length ball, which Jadeja somehow could play in midwicket.
On the third ball, Nitish Reddy came on a strike and defended the 92 mph speed ball. After this, Archer bowled three more balls 90.5 mph, 91.9 mph and 91.4 mph and all were short lengths.

Although Archer did not get any wicket in this over, his bowling clearly showed that he had returned to his best. ECB also shared the video of this over on its social media and told that it was Jofra’s fastest spell so far.
Remember, Archer made a comeback by dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal on his third ball in the first innings of this Test. Since then, they have been constantly looking dangerous, and have been a big challenge for India’s batsmen.
