Kalki 2898 AD was released for 1 year, Nag Ashwin told why the film is incomplete without Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone is India’s biggest actress and the unmatched queen of the box office in today’s time. The presence on their screen is such that the eyes stop automatically. A year ago, people have not forgotten the performance he gave in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
Deepika appeared in this film opposite Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film became India’s highest grossing films. Deepika’s character was very emotional and strong from inside. The manner in which he played that role is Kaabil-e-Praise. Especially in the film’s climax, his fire-walking scene, it is a moment that is still in the hearts of the audience.

In an interview, Nag Ashwin, director of Kalki 2898 AD, said to touch Deepika’s strong scene. He said, the visual of that scene and the way Deepika handled herself in it … I told her that if everything goes right, then it can become a poster that will probably be longer than us and I, that is, it will be longer than both of us.
Director Nag Ashwin told that during the scripting of the film, he had a long conversation about Deepika’s character. He said clearly, he is the most important part of this story. When we started writing the script, it was still discussed many times. Finally, we reached a very simple question that if we remove one of the characters from the story and the whole story is over, then who will be it? And that character was Deepika. If he did not have a character, it would not have been a story, nor would it have been ‘Kalki’.

Talking on Deepika Padukone’s iconic fire walking scene, director Nag Ashwin said, “This is my most favorite scene … maybe the most favorite.” But we were shooting it very in a hurry. Three setups were to be shot that day and Deepika had to hold a flight at a fixed time.
He said, often some of the most special or magical moments of the film are made in a sudden or hurry and this scene was the same. In the midst of so much run, when I reached the monitor and saw that Deepika was passing by the tunnel between the fire, then I understood that this scene was going to be something special.
Deepika Padukone’s performance, especially the film’s intense fire scene, Kalki became the most discussed moment of 2898 AD. His silent but strong presence won the audience’s heart. Now Deepika is returning to play her important role in the sequel of this epic Saga.
