Kannappa Review: Why did the audience get bored? Akshay Kumar disappointed, know what is lacking in the film

Kannappa is originally a Telugu film which has been dubbed in Hindi. Vishnu Manchu has played the lead role in it, but stars like Prabhas and Akshay Kumar are also in this film for the attraction of Hindi -speaking audiences, although Prabhas’s role in half the film and Akshay Kumar’s role is smaller than that.

The filmmaker claims that this is a film based on the true story. The Telugu audience may have a choice of choice in this film, but it is not much for the Hindi speaking audience.

The story of ‘Kannappa’ is a change in the life of a person named Thinnadu (Vishnu Manchu). He does not consider idolatry right from birth. His father is also angry with him for this. Namli leaves her family to marry her. They leave the village and start living outside. Gradually, there are changes in Thinnadu and he becomes an ardent devotee of Shiva.

Vishnu Manchu has also played the responsibility of writing the story and screenplay. As a writer Vishnu has taken a lot of time to speak. The film runs so slow in the initial hour that boredom starts. The first half is very dull with neither adventure nor entertainment. A lot of characters from above and their difficult names are difficult to remember.

When Prabhas’s entry in the film, a little agility also comes in the film, but by then the film puts you tired. Climax is surprised, but the film is not able to leave an impact on the audience.

The length of the film is a major problem. Watching a film more than three hours long is possible for today’s audience when magnet -like attraction is in the film, which is missing in Kannappa. Another minus point is the dialogue of the film, which are written in such a way that it seems like a translation, it does not make the audience connect with the characters.

Kannappa movie review in hindi

Where the writer was unsuccessful, Mukesh Kumar Singh as a director could not do any wonders. Despite having a large budget, a lot of stars, they have made a loose film which moves at a sluggish pace and looks scattered. The grandeur in the film is also not such that the audience is lost in the dazzling. VFX is also better than average, but not the top class. He could not do better work even with his technical department.

As an actor Vishnu Mannu has worked honestly and has trusted the difficult journey of change of Thinnadu in a reliable way. Preeti Mukandan was average. Due to Prabhas’s stardom, the audience’s interest in the second half of the film awakens, his work is good. Akshay Kumar these days appears in every film in a hurry and untouchability. In the role of Lord Shiva, he also disappoints his style and he disappoints.

The song-music is improvised for the Hindi audience. The background score is very loud at some places. Sheldon Chau’s cinematography is fine.

Overall, ‘Kannappa’ is a great lack of emotion and grandeur, in the hope of which the audience spends his time by purchasing the tikat of the film.
