Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu’s most awaited film ‘Kannappa’ was released in theaters worldwide on 27 June. The action fantasy drama film stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role and South’s superstar Mohanlal, Pan India Star Prabhas, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal are also in important roles. However, Kannappa has become a victim of piracy with the release. On social media, the pirated copies of this film were covered on the internet, against which the makers of the film have now taken strict steps. On the other hand, Vishnu Manchu also shared the post and appealed to the audience not to watch the pirated film.
Makers take strict steps against piracy
As soon as Kannappa’s pirated copy released on 27 June came on the internet, the makers also quickly removed the links of the film from all social media platforms and sites including YouTube, Instagram and X, through which the film’s pirated version was being circulated. So far, the makers have removed close to 30 thousand links, through which Kannappa’s pirated copy was being circulated. Kannappa’s makers have also released an official statement regarding the piracy of the film.

The film’s lead actor Vishnu Manchu wrote in his post- ‘Dear Movie Lovers, Kannappa is in the grip of piracy attack. More than 30,000 illegal links have already been removed. It is heartbreaking. This is very simple, piracy is theft. We do not teach our children to steal. Seeing pirated content is also no different. Please do not promote it. Support cinema properly. Everywhere Shiva.’

Both films were released in theaters on the same day and in terms of earnings are also a little ahead of each other. Before the release of the film, Akshay Kumar also shared a post, in which he made a special appeal to Ajay Devgan regarding Kannappa and mother’s box office clash. Kannappa’s box office collection
Talking about the collection of the film, Vishnu Manchu’s film has also benefited from the weekend. The film did a business of Rs 9.35 crore on Opening Day. The film earned Rs 7.15 crore on Saturday. On Sunday, the film collected Rs 7.25 crore at the box office. In this way, the film has earned Rs 23.25 crore in three days. Apart from Vishnu Manchu, the film also stars Akshay Kumar and Prabhas.
