TV actress Sumona Chakraborty, who got recognition from house to house from The Kapil Sharma Show, recently passed through a scary experience in Mumbai. His car was surrounded by protesters during the Maratha reservation movement in South Mumbai. The incident occurred near Azad Maidan on 31 August, when the movement was on its third day and thousands of people were demanding 10% reservation for Marathas in OBC quota.

Sumona shared her tragedy on Instagram and wrote that this was the first time she felt insecure in Mumbai. He said that a man hit his hand on the bonnet of his car, smiled strangely and pressed the stomach, while people were shouting slogans ‘Jai Maharashtra’. Five minutes later, another similar incident happened and no police was present there.

He wrote in the post, “No law, no arrangement. I was in my car, in daylight, in South Bombay and feeling insecure. The roads were filled with dirt, the protesters had camped on the footpaths. Food, gold, bathing, reel was happening there – all this is a mockery of governance and civil responsibility.”

Sumona further said that if a male had not been with him at that time, then what could have happened. He thought of making a video, but did not do so due to fear. At the end of the post, he wrote, “This is not the digital India that is concerned. When casteism, religion, politics, corruption and unemployment dominate – it is not development, not a collapse.”
