Kargil Vijay Diwas: Bollywood movies depicting Kargil war
26 July is celebrated as Kargil Day. Everyone knows about the Kargil war, how the Indian brave people had increased the glory of the tricolor by putting their lives.
Filmmakers have made many films on the valor shown on the battlefield and the influence after that. Especially in foreign cinema, the war and its results are underlined with subtlety through films.
Indian filmmakers have definitely lagged behind in this matter. Whatever films have been made, there is so much dramatization that films seem fake. JP Dutta has made a film on Kargil war. Apart from this, some films also mention the Kargil war.

Encouraged by the success of the war film ‘Border’, filmmaker JP Dutta made the film ‘LoC: Kargil’ which was released four years after the Kargil war. JP Dutta created an army of stars. Such starcasts are rarely seen. It was not easy to cover the Kargil war in the film and JP Dutta took 255 minutes to speak. After running time, it is the longest film in India. The film showed the matter of line of control and Operation Vijay. It is interesting to see how Indian brave people carried out this operation on the silver screen. The Indian Army technically assisted during the filming. The weapons used during the Kargil war also gave to JP Dutta’s team. In these, INSAS RIFLE, Swedish Bofors HABIBITS FH77 Artilry Guns, BM-21 Grad Multiple Rocket Launches and MIL MIL MI-17 helicopters were shown. JP Dutta made the film with tireless hard work, but due to loose editing, some unnecessary episodes and songs, the film became much longer and that is why the film performed less than expected at the box office. However, if you want to see the Kargil war on the screen, then this film can be a better option.
